Friday’s Feast # 157

Say there’s a book written about your life. Who would you want to narrate the audio version?

David Ogden  Stiers. I love the way his voice sounds narrating Beauty and the Beast.

Take the letters from your favorite kind of nut and write a sentence. (Example: Perhaps every avenue needs understanding today.)

Canaries always sing happily except when sleeping.

If you could go back in time and spend one week in another decade, which decade would you choose?

The 50s. Sounds like a fun time, and I like the prominent family values of that era, but it’s not too terribly far removed from modern conveniences. 😀

Main Course
Name a song that brings back memories for you.

My dad wasn’t one to sing around the house much, but every now and then he would break out into “Old Man River,” so that song makes me think of him.

Do you prefer to wash your hands in cold water or warm water?

Definitely warm. It will be interesting to see if anyone says cold. Warm water helps to lather up and rinse off better, and to me if the water is too cold it makes my muscles stiffen.

  1. Oh! I ALMOST chose the 50’s – for the very same reason as you! … but then the BAD GIRL took over in me! LOL! I went back a bit farther! (but it’s only for a week – right?)

Aw… I love your main course! That is SWEET!

  2. Wow your nut sentence actually makes sense (Who Knew?). I chose the 50’s for the same reason. Loved your choice of song reminding you of your dad. Sweet Treats here today!
