Friday’s Feast #136

I haven’t “feasted” in a while…

Who is your favorite news anchor/reporter? Why?

I don’t watch the news much any more, but when I did I liked to watch Tom Brokaw. Not sure why, really.

Name 3 foods that are currently in your freezer.

Ground turkey, chicken tenderloins, frozen corn.

If you were to have the opportunity to name a new town or city, what would you call it?

I’d have to know something about the town first — I think it’s neat if the name is reflective of some characteristic of the town. I do like descriptive names rather than names after people.

Main Course
What will most likely be the next book you read?

I just bought Forever by Karen Kingsbury tonight and I am itching to get to it, but I need to finish Sense and Sensibility first.

What’s the first thing you notice about the opposite gender?

I think I notice the eyes first of either gender.

  1. Tom Brokaw was pretty cool, too. I miss Pete Jennings! I’ll pray for Addison, but I have one question: is there a story behind the smiley face at the bottom of the page?

  2. I started to say something similar to you for my town name — but then I thought no, cuz towns change over time, and so what might be a good name for it now might be way off 50 years from now…. so I went with … silly instead! LOL!

  3. Seriously, at the very bottom — scroll all the way down, to where you see

    Blog at
    Entries (RSS) and Comments (RSS).

Below that is a smiley face, on the gray backgorund. Even weirder, I checked the HTML source page and I can’t find what’s causing it.

It’s not on a comment page, only on the front page of the blog, near as I can tell.

Is anyone else seeing it or am I nuts?

  4. Wow, Rob, you’re observant! I see it now. I just went to the WordPress forums to see if there was anything about it, and it is somehow connected to tracking blog stats and is only there when they’re tracking. We have a place on our “dashboard” where we can click and see how many hits each post has had, where people are clicking from — sort of like a mini site meter. I don’t know how exactly it works or why those symbols show up then.

I learned something new today! πŸ™‚

  5. Ground turkey is my wonderfood.
I love turkey meat balls, ground turkey sauteed with barbeque and mixed in mac and cheese, turkey burgers, the list goes on and on.
    Have a fabulous Friday,

  6. Wonderful feast! Sense and Sensiblility is one of my favorite books. I’ll have to check Forever out, it sounds interesting.
We use ground turkey alot more than beef. I just made turkey burgers last night!
    Have a fantastic Friday!

I love hearing from you and will approve your comment ASAP.
