It’s the first day of autumn…and the first day of Katrina’s Fall Into Reading Challenge! The guidelines are here, but the basic idea is just to make a list of books you want to read throughout autumn and then come back at the end and tell how you did. It’s fine to change your mind along the way — discard one book or add another. There are even prizes!
I enjoy it because it is fun to see what others are reading and it helps me actually get to some books I keep meaning to read but don’t get around to.
Here’s my list:
I’ve already started and will finish:
Thriving at College: Make Great Friends, Keep Your Faith, and Get Ready for the Real World! by Alex Chediak, since my youngest just started college.
Unless It Moves the Human Heart: The Craft and Art of Writing by Roger Rosenblatt
The Maid of Fairbourne Hall by Julie Klassen
I also plan to read:
The Christian Imagination by Leland Ryken
The Bridge by Karen Kingsbury
Full Disclosure by Dee Henderson
Wildflowers of Terezin by Robert Elmer
I also plan to listen to:
C. S. Lewis’s Space Trilogy: Out of the Silent Plant, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength
I am not sure what audiobook will come after that. I have Sense and Sensibility on file but haven’t decided on it yet.
I’ll probably end up reading more than that, but I want my goal to be reachable and I want to have a bit of wiggle room in there.
How about you? Do you have any reading plans for fall?
