1. Do you believe, somewhere deep inside, that blondes do indeed have more fun? That they are “dumber” than brunettes or redheads? Be honest!
No. Seriously? No. Such things are not determined by hair color, but perceptions can be.
2. Which animal would you most like to observe in its wild habitat?
Penguins.
3. This week the U.N. announced that Dr. Mazlan Othman has been appointed the official “Alien Ambassador,” should any extraterrestrials contact us. Have you, or has anyone you know, ever seen a UFO?
No. ![]()
4. Name your favorite Hitchcock film.
It would be a tie between The Man Who Knew Too Much with Jimmy Stewart and Doris Day or North by Northwest with Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint.
5. Would you rather spend time at the library, the mall, a craft store or home?
Home. But the others are nice excursions sometimes.
6. Which Disney princess is your favorite? (Or Disney character, if you are a guy)
Cinderella.
7. What kind of art is your favorite?
I am not quite sure exactly what is meant by this question. Which school of art, as in realism, impressionism, etc? Which medium — oils, watercolor, charcoal, pencil? Music vs. painting vs. acting vs. textile arts vs. crafting vs. photography? Too many variables! It would be easier to say which I don’t like, and that would be anything excessively abstract (sorry, Picasso.)
8. How do you feel about viral videos, that is, videos made by amateurs that end up on Youtube receiving thousands of hits?
Some of them are a lot of fun to watch. I think it’s fun when all involved are in on it and okay with it — I wouldn’t like one where they filmed someone else unawares and then posted a video of them against their will or unknown to them.
9. Where do you buy your jeans?
I don’t wear jeans. None of my kids likes to wear them, either — they prefer cargo pants. But when we used to buy them, we got them at W-Mart.
10. Tell me about your first automobile accident.
I was in college driving a group of girls back to school from church in my fiance’s car one Sunday night when a driver in the opposite lane swerved into my lane, hit the car, then swerved back into his and drove off. Thankfully no one was going too fast and no one was hurt. The window next to me shattered. We pulled over to the side, and thankfully a faculty couple was in the car behind us and saw everything and stopped to make sure we were okay, called the police, and got us back to campus. In addition, my fiance was in another car with a group of guys going back to school from the same church: they usually went back a different way, but providentially they came the same way we did and saw us and stopped. The car was totaled. But…at least we got the first “Honey, I wrecked the car” scenario out of the way before we married.
11. Have you ever been honest when you knew you would benefit more if you would be dishonest?
Sure. The only thing that comes to mind is when a cashier has given me too much money back and I give them back the excess.
12. If you were appointed “Ambassador to Aliens,” what would you show and tell first about life on Earth? What would be the most difficult thing to explain?
Well, assuming we could communicate at all….I really don’t know. I don’t spend too much time thinking about aliens.
Have an out-of-this-world day!

That was very forward thinking of you to wreck the car before the marriage …
I loved your answer to #12. That was pretty much my thought, too.
Glad no one was hurt. Nice answers.
Ooooo… Penguins WOULD be fun to watch! They are cute little critters!
Well, ya know… since Jim still married you even after you wrecked his car… it must be TRUE love!
That was good thinkin’!
Yea… what was UP with these alien questions today??? LOL!
Enjoyed your answers! I too have a problem with stereotypes.
until next time… nel
Penguins! That would be a good one too! And I picked North by Northwest too. I still love that movie. Enjoy your day!
Good answers, Barbara! It’s nice to visit your blog again.
Oh, penguins would be cool to see! I forgot about The Man Who Knew too Much, too!
I totally agree with you on #2. I had a science teacher that went to an island in Australia and watched the penguins.
Love your answer for #12! Very witty.
