Theme: High | Become a Photo Hunter
This wasn’t what I was originally thinking about for “high,” but once I came across it, I just had to use it.
One of my sons has been counting calories, and he had done so well and had so many calories left after dinner one day that he splurged and went out to his favorite coffee shop to get dessert. He got a piece of chocolate cake, but it was so rich he could only eat about half of it. He looked up the nutrition information online afterward, and it was a whopping 1,400 calories!! Here is the half that was left, or about 700 calories worth.

And it sits there looking so innocent.
Chocolate cake is high in calories anyway, but I don’t know what they did to this to make it that high!
And now for a more traditional look at something high:
This the clock tower downtown, picture borrowed from my son.
Come over to TN Chick’s place to join in on the fun.

Interesting take on ‘high’ with the high calorie chocolate cake and I know the clock tower is supposed to a red bricked structure but those bricks look chocolate too in the photo! ;b

Barbara, I´m sorry the amazing photo of the high clock tower will not get the attention it deserves from me, because….
…. I. Want. That. Leftovers.
Pretty please.
Oh, those pregnancy hormones… did your son get the cake at your local SB store? Their chocolate cake is one of my favorites right now. Did you say 1,400 kcal???? *LOL*

I like your clock tower – but the chocolate icecream… mmmmh. Out of this world. My first thought upon seeing it was of a different high: eating that would make me feel high!!

Hi Barbara. Looks like a sinfully delicious piece of cake.
Great shot of that clock tower. Thanks for visiting.

I often opt for a dessert at a restaurant if I can get 2 or 3 to share it. Tuesday night at girls night out we had a 6 layer chocalate cake slice that was much like this with ice cream on the side. I took one layer and about a tablespoon of ice cream and then left half on my plate. It was so very rich. If I make dessert at home, though, I eat way too much over a time period that it stays fresh. Good choice for the theme. And I like the clock tower too.
It is Spring here and I want so badly to get outside and walk but I have to get to breathing better first.

Those innocent looking cake things are fraught with danger for calorie counters. I like the photo of the clock tower too.
Have a good week and thanks for the visit.

Howdy. Someone asked where I got the cake. I bought it from the coffee shop in my local Barnes and Noble, and it was labeled as the Black Out cake from the Cheesecake Factory.
